“Beach house” project will line Arizona Canal
Alan Lamb and Gary Lamb, of Lamb Architects, have designed the 55,000-square-foot SouthBridge Canal Walk residences along the Arizona Canal.
The project includes an urban street plaza, which will extend redevelopment of the canal southwest from the SouthBridge restaurants and Mix retail shops.
According to Gary Lamb, the 4-story residences, with 3 levels above the canal, range from 3,700 to 6,400 square feet. Prices are from $4 million to $6 million, with firm commitments for half of the units. He added they hope to start construction by the end of the year and finish the residences by midyear 2010.

Got something to say?
The beach houses must be very luxury and expensive. But it will be definitely enjoyable and comfortable. Expecting!
Since the article states that they are to be priced from $4 to $6 million per unit, I guess you could say that they will be very expensive.
It should be interesting to see what the next 10 years holds for the “Scottsdale Waterfront”. Which includes a lot of residential units, shoppping and dining along the canal that passes through South Scottsdale.
I have seen that “canal”. I know water is scarce in Arizona but is a cement canal really that attractive for a condo project?
I am not trying to be negative just wondering what is the attraction.
BTW: My daughter was invited to crew for ASU a few years ago and that would have been their venue. Very ironic.
I personally don’t think a cement canal has that much draw to it… but, the location in general is outstanding.
It’s in South Scottsdale’s “Arts District” with a whole lot of good shopping including The 5th Avenue Shops and Scottsdale Fashion Square.
And we all know the 3 most important things about real estate: location, loca… well, you get the point.
