Silverstone Approved
It has recently been announced that the Scottsdale city council voted unanimously to approve zoning changes for the 160-acre former Rawhide site at Scottsdale and Pinnacle Peak Roads for a new planned community called Silverstone.
The community will include a health care facility, residences, a public library, offices and commercial areas. Silverstone will have 976 housing units and an assisted living facility that will rise 45 feet.
New Pinnacle Peak Development
North Scottsdale’s Pinnacle Peak has a new gated community coming its way.
Pinnacle Peak Place will put 80 new homes on the 124-acre lot at the northeastern corner of Pima and Happy Valley roads.
The new development sailed through the city’s approval process with no opposition. Even neighbor Henry Becker, who has found it impossible to develop his 95 acres to the south, had no comment.

Westcor plans to build a new cosmopolitan city within a city on 2,200-acres at Scottsdale Road and the Loop 101 that will include the states most upscale shopping, restaurants, high-rise condos, single-family residential, golf courses, and a boutique hotel.
Scottsdale’s Last Ranch??
AzCentral’s Scottsdale Republic reports that Windgate Ranch, the 633-home housing development northeast of 96th Street and Bell Road, is likely the city of Scottsdale’s last major housing development.
Toll Brothers is grading it’s nearly 400-acre site and plans to begin sales by March of 2006 for a gated community with home prices starting in the $900,000 range.
