Retail center is site for planned project
Retail center is site for planned project, an article from The Arizona Republic, reports that the proposed 26-acre Scottsdale Centrovida project in South Scottsdale will bring new retail, restaurants, housing and a parklike environment. Plans to build Centrovida, or "center of life," adjacent to another large office and retail project, SkySong, brings hope by the developer that the two projects will feed off each other, creating a "live, work and play" hub.
Rick Sodja, PDG’s chief executive officer said, "This is a true live/work, mixed-use project that provides amenities and becomes a focal point for the neighborhood." According to Sodja, if the project receives Scottsdale City Council approval, PDG would begin construction in the second quarter of 2009. Retail would come first, at the start of 2010, followed by housing and offices.
