W Hotel Ready To Open Guest Rooms, Preps Full-time Residences

The W Hotel opens in Scottsdale this week. The boutique hotel is offering 250 rooms for guests, while 18 private residences are being built on the sixth and seventh floors. 

Steven Yari, co-founder of Triyar Hospitality Inc., the property’s developer said, “We have talked to 300 people who have an indicated an interest in buying one of them and we are talking to a select few.”

Units range in size from 1,100 to 2,700 square feet, with prices starting at more than $1 million and topping out at about $3 million.  According to Yari, he isn’t worried that the sluggish real estate market and current glut of high-rise condos will impact sales for the luxury penthouses when they officially go on the market in 30 to 60 days.
